Frankopan castles

The history and architecture of the area were mainly characterised by the famous Croatian Frankopan family. They built nine castles in the area known as Principality of Vinodol. Three of them, namely Bribir, Grizane and Drivenik, are located in what is now Vinodol. Thousands of tourists visit the remains of these castles.

Church Of St Philip and Jacob

The Church of St. Philip and Jacob and the 36-metre high bell tower are located on a rocky plateau, offering wonderful views over the sea. The bell tower was built on the site of an old church. According to the legend, they built this church in less than 24 hours in 1551, to serve as a refuge for locals during the plague. The church houses wooden carved art pieces from the late Fankopan period.

Pavlomir Winery

In the history of the town, agriculture and viticulture have always played an important role. This region has the best quality soil. The winery has five high-quality wines, three high-quality sparkling wines and four normal quality wines. Of the seven Pavlomir wines they entered into the 2019 competition in Porec, six won gold medals and one wine won a silver medal.

Pekna plaz

Pekna Beach is a quiet, secluded beach located between Selce and Novi Vinodolski. It is a 50-metre long pebble beach with crystal clear water. The Pekna is perfect if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

Lisanj beach

Lisanj is a beach located in the heart of the town, directly next to Lisanj Hotel. This is the best-equipped beach in Novi Vinodolski. There is a playground and water park for children. Sports enthusiasts can play beach volleyball, mini-golf or tennis. You can rend sun lounges and beach umbrellas.

Dugno beach

This small, 20-meter stretch of coastline is located south of the town. The beach is covered with small pebbles and the water is shallow and crystal clear.
