The following information is considered to be the information provided by the port.

The largest island of the Ionian Sea, Kefalonia is a very charming place. Although it has developed over the last years as a family destination, beach places in Kefalonia island never get crowded due to the large size of the island. Apart from swimming, Kefalonia Greece also has many places to see, from picturesque villages to Medieval castles and beautiful monasteries. Argostoli is the capital of the island. There are 2 main ports that connect the island with other Greek cities. There is a port in Sami, from where boats leave to Ithaca, Patra and Italy. Poros is the other main port, in the south-eastern side of Kefalonia, from where boats daily depart to Killini. Sami has a small beach at the edge of town just outside the harbor, with white stones, turquoise seas, and surrounded by pine trees. But in Kefalonia where they had to start from scratch they figured in the fact that we were moving from a four-footed to a four-wheeled world and in Sami the port road that separates the restaurants from the tables on the quay is as wide as some parts of the national road. Only there are few cars. In July it is a car owners paradise. You can park anywhere on one of the interior streets and walk a few steps to the waterfront. Choose from our available boats (use the detailed search engine) and make a reservation.
