Sukosan lies 11 km southeastward from Zara in the northern part of Dalmatia. It’s next to the Velebit Canal in the spacious Gulf of Zlatna Luka. The town has a direct connection to motorway A1 through Highway 424. Thus, it’s easily accessible by car. Sukosan is a small town and also a port. Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters, gulet charters may not require a license. D-Marin Dalmacija (Sukošan)

Croatia’s largest marina has 1200 sea berths and 300 land berths for ships. The marina can accommodate ships up to 40 m in length and superyachts in transit up to 80 m. D-Marin Dalmacija is one of the best-equipped marinas in the Adriatic. There is a café, a bar, restaurants, a beach club, a maintenance and repair shop, and a grocery store on site. Marina Zadar

You will find the town’s port in the central part of the shores of the Adriatic, in the centre of Zadar. They have 200 berths and 100 on-land facilities. Marina Preko (Ugljan)

Marina Kornati (Biograd na Moru)

Marina Veli Rat (Dugi Otok)

If the other strong wind, the Jugo is present, it is much more pleasant to anchor on the southern dock.

Beaches in Sukosan

The sea is crystal clear on the shore of Sukosan, which is more than 10 km long and almost entirely suitable for swimming. It has a natural complex too. Guests can choose according to their preference among well-maintained beaches and small private gulfs.

Main sights of Sukosan

Which period is best to sail from Sukosan?

The shore of the Adriatic Sea has the traits of the Mediterranean climate. There’s a lot of sunshine. Summers are dry and warm, winters are mild and rainy.
