Location of Baška Voda

You can find this coastal village in Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. It is at the foot of Mount Biokovo, in the western part of Makarska Riviera, 10 kilometres northwest of Makarska. Administratively, the municipality includes Bast, Bratuš, Krvavica, and Promajna.

Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters, gulet charters may not require a license. Nikolina Beach

The pebbly Nikolina beach in the city centre is the main beach of Baška Voda. It was named after the patron saint of the village, St. Nicholas. Ikovac Beach

This popular beach is about 500 metres from the city centre. Thanks to the crystal clear water and fine pebbles on the shore, it is perfect for families with children. This well-equipped beach is 200 metres long, and the kids can swim in the shallow water. If you get hungry, there are restaurants and bars nearby. On the promenade, just a few minutes away from the beach, there is a playground for the little ones.

Baška Voda has a pleasant, Mediterranean climate. Summers are hot and dry with long hours of sunshine throughout the year. Winters are mild. In July, the highest average temperature is 25.2 °C, the lowest in January is 7.1 °C. Maximum rainfall occurs in November. If you like swimming, the temperature of the sea in August can climb up to 24.9 °C. The main winds are the southeasterly Jugo and northeasterly Bora. In summer the refreshing Mistral wind is replaced at night with Burin, a light northerly wind. It is worth visiting Baška Voda from May to October thanks to the pleasant climate.
