Why charter this Elan 514 Impression - 4 + 1 cab.
4 cabins for 8 berths means about 2 guests per cabin, so bag storage and sleeping turns are clear before departure. 1.6 guests per head matters on early marina mornings, when showers, breakfast and casting off compete for time. At 16,1 m, this sailing yacht needs earlier berth planning and more turning room in busy marinas.
Best charter fit
Elan 514 Impression - 4 + 1 cab. suits crews comparing cabin separation, luggage storage and bathroom timing across 4 cabins and 5 heads. Sailing crews should keep one fallback leg for wind shifts, late sea state and the final marina return.
Murter and the Kornati from Pirovac
Pirovac is the quiet option near the Kornati: a low-key family town of stone houses round a shallow, well-protected bay, a calmer base than the busier charter ports nearby. After handover, Murter’s own bays are a short hop in the lee if daylight allows, or a morning start if not. Zadar Airport (ZAD) is a 45–70-minute road transfer, and Split (SPU) about the same. A week of the Šibenik archipelago and the southern Kornati is short-leg sailing, the water opening up the further offshore you go. The crossing into the Kornati is the weather-dependent one, so take it settled and turn back early enough to keep the last day among the nearer channels, with the park’s entry fee and anchoring rules to arrange first.
