Either way the daily hops stay under fifteen miles in the island’s lee, while Marie-Galante sits exposed to the south-east, one to save for calm weather and to factor into the return plan. Marie-Galante, La Désirade and, further off, Dominica are open-channel crossings, better kept for a longer stay, with a Dominica clearance to arrange.
