Being in the Southern Hemisphere, the seasons are the opposite of those in the Northern Hemisphere. December and January are the hottest months in Australia. July and August are the coldest. In general, summer daytime temperatures are usually between 25 and 30°C and winter temperatures are between 5 and 10°C.
