Iceland has a maritime subarctic climate. The warm North Atlantic Current ensures generally higher annual temperatures than in most places of similar latitude in the world. The climate is affected by the Gulf Stream and the East Greenland Current.
Generally speaking, the south coast is warmer, wetter, and windier than the north. However, temperatures do not vary much throughout the country. The mean annual temperature for Reykjavík is 4 °C. Rain is more common than snow, with October being the wettest month. Also, the cool northerly winds can be strong at times.
If you want more accurate/detailed information about the weather and wind conditions, select a region from the yacht charter in Iceland destinations tab. Please search for the desired holiday destination within the region and you can find the weather tab under the city tab.
