This enchanting town is located in Sardinia, in the province of Oristano. It shares borders with the towns Bosa Modolo, Padria, Pozzomaggiore, Suni, Villanova Monteleone, Magomadas and Montresta. Its river is the Temo, which is the only navigable river in Sardinia.
Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters and gulet charters may not require a license. Larger boats or those with more powerful engines need a skipper’s license. Before you confirm your sailing trip to Bosa, please send us a copy and we will check it for you. You need to have the original copies on board, so don’t forget to take them.

If you visit the place, you should definitely see the fortress, Castello Malaspina. It provides a great view of Bosa and the Temo river in the valley. The symbol of the city, its external walls and the towers are still standing today. The Nostra Signora di Regnos Altos church can also be found here. The cathedral of Bosa is located to the south from the fortress. The building that has Baroque characteristics has frescos from the 19th century as well as marble statues.
The town is famous for the quality of the olive oil and the wines. If you visit the place, we recommend that you taste the unique local dishes, especially the Frutti di mare. Or do you prefer pizza? Similarly to other Italian towns, there is great pizza here as well. As for beverages, try the local wine called Malvasia. It is perfect for delicious meals.

The beach has a large size. It is 900 metres long and 130 metres wide. It is equipped well and has slowly deepening water, making it an ideal spot for families with small children. In the summer during the main season, lifeguards provide safety for swimmers. There are bars, restaurants and shops, too. If you like scuba diving or surfing, we especially recommend this beach.
The other popular beach is 5 kilometres from the centre of Bosa. Families with children love this place as well; the water here is clean and transparent. It is only 180 metres long, so it can get very crowded in the summer months. They have bars and restaurants; as for watersports, you should try snorkelling and kayaking.
Sardinia, the wonderful island where Bosa is located has a typical Mediterranean climate. The summer is long and hot, while the winter is wet. In July and August, the average temperature is 24-25°C. The dominant winds are the Mistral and the Sirocco. Due to the windy climate, they have built several wind turbines. If you would like to swim in the first place, we recommend the period between the end of May and the end of September. Are you looking for an active holiday and hiking? Then you should visit in the autumn and spring as well.
