To rent a crewed yacht in Panama does not need a skipper licence. You can rent these yachts with a skipper only.
On the Caribbean side, the sea is generally calmer, less wavy, ideal for beginners or for those looking for comfort sailing. The archipelago is extremely spectacular, with shallow lagoons.
