Elba Airport (EBA) is a 20–30-minute transfer, with Pisa (PSA) on the mainland a longer haul by ferry and road. After handover, a cove near Portoferraio makes an easy first anchorage. A week of the island’s own indented shore falls into short day passages, with Capraia or Pianosa added when the forecast holds, though the mistral can build a sea in the channels and decide whether a hop goes at all. Pianosa lies inside the national park, its anchoring restricted and some visits by permit, so that day is one to arrange ahead. Corsica across the strait is the longer open passage, one to save for more than a week.
