Kaş is a bougainvillea-draped town on Turkey’s Lycian coast, where the mountains drop straight to a sea scattered with ancient ruins, none more haunting than the sunken Lycian city under the clear water off Kekova. Dalaman Airport (DLM) is the nearer gateway, with Antalya (AYT) a long road transfer. If the handover leaves the time, a cove near Kaş is an easy first hop; otherwise the marina makes the first night and you start fresh. From the base you run east to Kekova and west to pretty Kalkan, but the coast is fairly open and only the bays and Kekova’s channel give real shelter, so the afternoon wind decides how far to push and the last day is best kept tucked in.
