Location of Medulin
Medulin is a small village with the app. 3000 inhabitants. It is located in the southern corner of the Istrian Peninsula, 8 kilometres from Pula. It shares a natural, well-protected bay with is direct neighbour, Pomer.
History of Medulin
The history of Medulin began long before the common era. There was a buzzing social life here, and this is proven by the artefacts found in the area. We can encounter ruins from the Roman period all over the city. During history, there have been many destructions and epidemics, but the city rose from the ashes again and again like a phoenix. Although the town struggled with depopulation in the 16th century, a hundred years later the economic life started to flourish again, and it has been growing since then.
Weather in Medulin
The Istrian Peninsula has a typical Mediterranean climate. Summers are warm and sunny, and winters are mild and windy. The temperature of the water is rarely lower than 14 degrees. The main season is from late Spring to early Autumn.
Main sights of Medulin
Saint Agnes’ Church
The church is located downtown. It has two 33-metre-high bell towers. On the inside, we can see a wonderful marble baptismal font, a beautiful altarpiece and a silver cross from the 15th century.
Archeological park Vizula
There are many Roman ruins scattered around the town. The park in Vizula revitalizes the ruins in a modern and interactive way, and also offers many entertaining programmes to visitors.
Kamenjak (Premantura)
The entire Kamenjak peninsula is a natural preserve. It has a rich and unique flora. The peninsula has a curly coastline with dozens of beautiful hidden beaches.
The island of Ceja
Turquoise blue, crystal clear waters, breathtaking greenery, a cosy restaurant and scuba-diving opportunities – what else is there to wish for on a perfect day at the Adriatic Sea?
Beaches in Medulin
Medulin has two important beaches that are both beautiful.
Bijeca
This is the beach that made the town famous. Contrary to other beaches in Croatia, Bijeca is sandy. The shore segment is more than 1 kilometre long. This part of the town is full of life; there are bars, restaurants and entertainment opportunities that visitors can choose from during the whole day.
Alba Chiara
The pebbly beach is ideal for sunbathing and doing watersports. It is a clean and well-equipped beach that is also easy to access.
Rent a boat in Medulin
Medulin has been considered one of the most popular and most modern resorts for the past few decades. It is easily accessible on a boat and can be an ideal starting point for a summer sailing adventure. Its modern port can accept more than 300 boats. Every berth has electricity and a water supply. We can also enjoy the cosy bars and cafés with a wonderful view of the beach.
ACI Marina Pula

Port of Rabac

ACI Cres
The giant bay can accept 458 boats and they offer 120 dry docks here as well. It is perfectly equipped and has everything you may need.
Marina Mali Losinj
The bay is protected from northern and eastern winds. There are 80 berths here for transit boats with a length of up to 18 metres. They provide water and electricity, and there are many local restaurants and bars. Yachtcharter in Mali Losinj
