Weather of Lindos

Rhodes has a Mediterranean climate. Winters are mild with a minimum temperature of 3-5° Celsius and a maximum of 15 °Celsius in the afternoons. The temperature of the sea in the winter is 17° Celsius. In the summer, it is around 25° Celsius, which lasts for a longer period in the period between August and September when the average daily temperature is 30° Celsius. Limin Simis Marina

The northern marina of Symi accommodates boats with a length of up to 60 metres and a draught of 2.5 metres. They provide water supply, boat maintenance, and shopping opportunities in the marina, which is quiet and practically never too crowded with tourists. There are also many restaurants in the near vicinity, so if you get hungry, you don’t have to walk too far from your boat.

Rhodes Marina

This giant marina in the northern part of Rhodes Town has become world-famous for a reason. It excels all the other marinas on the Aegean Sea in all respects. Palon Marina, Nisyros

This is the larger, eastern marina of Nisyros. They accommodate boats that are up to 60 metres in length and have a draught of up to 4 metres. There are several interesting sights to explore near the port, including the Zagoras Museum, which is only a few blocks away.

Limin Kalímnou, Kalymnos

This marina is located in a wonderful environment and is equipped very well. You will find all amenities required for boating: fuel, maintenance and inspection, as well as water supply. If you get hungry, there are several taverns, restaurants, and bars to choose from near the port. They accommodate boats with a length of up to 20 metres and a draught of 5 metres. If you have a longer boat, you should go to the marina of Vathi a bit further to the north.

Kos Marina, Kos

The giant marina of the capital of Kos accommodates 250 vessels. Boats with a length of up to 80 metres and a draught of 5 metres can be docked here. The marina, which has its security guard service, provides you with the opportunity to take care of boat service, fuel your boat replenish your water supplies. Day 1: Lindos (Rhodes) – Kiotari (Rhodes)

After you get your boat, you should leave immediately for the southwest along the coastline! Your first stop will be Kiotari. This is a quiet little resort town with a long black pebbly beach. You can try watersports and scuba diving here. If you get hungry, you can choose from great pizza places.

Day 2: Kiotari (Rhodes) – Plimmiri (Rhodes) – Chalki

Continue navigating along the coast towards the southwest, then turn to the north! You will pass by several resort towns of different sizes; we recommend Plimmiri for a short break in particular. You can enjoy the beach in a peaceful environment here, as the village does not get too crowded even during the main season.
Your last stop today is the island of Chalki near the western coast of Rhodes. The island – unaffected by mass tourism – offers peaceful beaches and interesting sights. Several monasteries and churches operate in the area. There is also a medieval castle on a high cliff behind Chorio, which was built by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in the 14th century.

Day 3: Chalki – Livadia (Tilos)

Continue your trip towards the northwest, to the island of Tilos. You can relax in a peaceful environment on the island of Tilos, as it is not affected by mass tourism. If you dock in the town of Livadia, you might encounter other tourists, but there aren’t as many of them here as in Rhodes, for instance. The only organised beach on the island is located next to the marina of Livadia. If you want to enjoy the beach in a quiet environment, sail around the island and explore the hidden shore segments! The town of Megalo Chorio offers dozens of interesting sights, such as the local archaeological museum and the monastery dedicated to the patron saint of the island. You will find the remains of a medieval castle that belonged to the Sovereign Military Order of Malta on the hill behind the town.

Day 4: Livadia (Tilos) – Ano Symi (Symi)

Today’s destination is the island of Symi and the town of Ano Symi There is an interesting sailing museum here that you should definitely not miss! It is also worth visiting the Byzantine castle built on the hill, providing a wonderful view of the town and the sea.

Day 5: Ano Symi (Symi) – Panormittis (Symi)

Yesterday you had a chance to see the northern part of Symi, and now you can also see the southern one. Sail to the southern marina, Panormittis. The most important sight that you must definitely visit is The Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael. There are two religious museums and beautiful frescoes inside. If you want to relax on the beach, you will find it near the marina.

Day 6: Panormittis (Symi) – Rhodes (Rhodes)

Head to Rhodes Town in the northern corner of Rhodes! Leaving the giant marina of the capital, you can dive right into the whirl of activities. There are several great restaurants and bars to choose from. If you like the buzzing nightlife, you must visit Orfanidou Street which offers world-famous clubs such as Colorado! Day 7: Rhodes (Rhodes) – Faliraki (Rhodes) – Lindos (Rhodes)

On the last day of your trip, navigate along the eastern coast of Rhodes and head back to Lindos. There are dozens of resort towns and beaches where you can stop during this section – Faliraki might be the best choice! Faliraki offers countless entertainment opportunities; you can explore the town and its neighbourhood, take a nice swim or do watersports on the long sandy beach. The waterpark is also a must-see sight!
If you feel you have seen enough of Faliraki, continue your trip along the coastline. You will eventually arrive back in Lindos where you began your trip a week ago. Visit one of the three beaches or explore the town! If you feel like going on a nice walk, it is worth visiting the Acropolis where you can admire the remains of ancient and medieval architecture. If you want to grab something to eat, we recommend the atmospheric rooftop restaurants.
