Krk, Rab and the near Kvarner channels give a week in mostly protected water, rarely more than ten open miles at a stretch, the exposed legs the ones to time. Cres, Lošinj and the islands off Zadar to the west are the longer, more exposed reach, better saved for a longer cruise.
