The 4 cabin’s bareboat sailing yacht Dufour 455 GL was built in 2009 and it is docked in Kalkara, Malta. The Dufour 455 GL (2009) can accommodate up to 8 people in 4 cabins and it has 2 toilets. The overall length of the boat is 45 ft / 13,8 m. The main equipment (find the complete list on the ’Equipments’ tab): air condition, stand up paddle (sup) and it’s obligatory extras: service pack. You can check-in from 17:00 h and check-out until 09:00 h.
Why charter this Dufour 455 GL
4 cabins for 8 berths means about 2 guests per cabin, so bag storage and sleeping turns are clear before departure. 4 guests per head matters on early marina mornings, when showers, breakfast and casting off compete for time. At 13,8 m, this sailing yacht works best when swim stops still leave time for the evening berth.
Best charter fit
Dufour 455 GL suits crews comparing cabin separation, luggage storage and bathroom timing across 4 cabins and 2 heads. Choose it for short hops or swim stops where boarding access, seating and deck storage matter more than sail handling.
The Maltese islands and Gozo from Kalkara
Malta Airport (MLA) is a short drive to Kalkara, tucked inside Grand Harbour beneath the honey-stone bastions of Valletta and the Three Cities, with Sicily a ferry away. After handover, a near creek just outside the harbour is an easy place to shake the boat down. All three islands fall within a week, crossing to greener Gozo and the Blue Lagoon off Comino, with Malta’s own bays and creeks in between. The distances are short, but the coast is fairly open, so make for a harbour when the wind gets up and time the turnaround for a last day back in the Maltese bays. There is little farther to reach here: more time just means longer among the same islands rather than new ground, useful mainly for waiting out weather and diving the clear water.
