Why charter this Lagoon 42 - 4 + 2 cab.
4 cabins for 8 berths means about 2 guests per cabin, so bag storage and sleeping turns are clear before departure. 2 guests per head matters on early marina mornings, when showers, breakfast and casting off compete for time. At 12,8 m, this catamaran works best when swim stops still leave time for the evening berth.
Best charter fit
Lagoon 42 - 4 + 2 cab. suits crews comparing cabin separation, luggage storage and bathroom timing across 4 cabins and 4 heads. The catamaran beam is useful at anchor, but marina planning needs wider berth options and earlier docking choices.
The western Cyclades from Lavrion
Lavrion is the quickest way into the Cyclades, an Attic port an hour from Athens, with Cape Sounion and its clifftop Temple of Poseidon on the way out. With a light meltemi, Kea’s horseshoe harbour at Vourkari is an easy first crossing; if it is blowing, Sounion’s lee is the safer first night. Athens International Airport (ATH) is a 35–50-minute road transfer, closer than from central Athens. Kea, Kythnos and the western chain lie a short day apart, but the meltemi blows hard here in summer, so make the open legs early and keep the return west toward the sheltered Saronic. Serifos, Sifnos and the deeper Cyclades add exposed meltemi miles and a longer beat home, better saved for a trip timed to a lull in the northerlies.
