Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB) is a short drive. Much of a week can be spent cove-hopping this short, sheltered stretch, the sailing measured in a few miles at a time. The one commitment is the La Maddalena crossing north: its park zones need a permit booked ahead, and the mistral can make the open channel rough, so pick the day for it and be back before the mistral turns the final leg rough.
