Location of Primosten
Dalmatia is considered to be the most beautiful region of Croatia. Primosten is located in the middle of this region on an artificial peninsula between Sibenik and Trogir. Previously it used to be an island, but eventually, it got connected to the mainland, that is how its current view was established. It is a rarely inhabited area, therefore nature is almost untouched here.
History of Primosten
The town’s name already hides its natural heritage: Pri most means the bridge. The area has been inhabited since the 7th century before Christ and was considered to be an important trade centre. Its port played a significant role in the establishment of today’s Primosten. Previously it used to be an island that was connected to the mainland by a wooden bridge, but that bridge got dismantled and its place was filled up. That is how artificial peninsula was created. The number of inhabitants is less than 2, 000 these days and beyond tourism, they live from grape production, fishing, and olive production. It is a charming and a little rustic fishermen’s village, where locals all know each other.

Primosten beaches are located north and south of the old town. Since it is not densely populated, there are many beach sections and bays for swimming. Each section is very clean, taken care of, and mostly covered by small pebbles. Next, to the beach you usually find wonderful paths to walk surrounded by town walls. Raduca beach:
Raduca and it’s a smaller part, Mala Raduca are the most famous beaches in the town and they also belong to the top 10 most beautiful beaches in Croatia. It has a blue flag distinction, which means that water quality is excellent. The beach with pebbles is surrounded by a pine forest.
Zlarin island:
The island is easy to reach by boat or yacht and you find romantic beaches there. Zlarin is Croatia’s only island to boast of corals.
Krka –waterfall:
Krka National Park with its unique natural values is about 40 km from here. Let’s visit the waterfall and we can have an unforgettable splash.
Main attractions in Primosten
Various programs and festivals take place in the town in the summer months, e.g. fishermen’s nights, folklore nights, and the Mediterranean Festival of Ethnography is organized each year.
Saint George church:
The main sight of the town. It stands on the highest point of the peninsula, on a hill, which makes it worth visiting not only for its historic values but also for the view.
Vineyards:
The vineyard that has been on the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage is 3 kilometre from the town. Tasting local red wine is very much recommended. The image of Primosten vineyards can also be found on the wall of the UN’s New York headquarters.
Donkey competition:
The funniest event of the year is the donkey contest that takes place within Primosten Games. The challenge is very simple, you have to ride on the donkey into the goal, but donkeys that are famous for their stubbornness often don’t even want to leave the start line.
Aurora Club:
Here is one of the largest, trendiest and most exclusive party spots of Croatia: Aurora Club. As many as 3, 000 people can be entertained in a pool or in a foam party until the morning in this stronghold of electronic music.

Port of Marina

Port of Trogir

Port of Split
The ACI Marina Split is a port with 348 berths for boats up to 90 metres in length. A breakwater protects it from strong waves and southern winds. The depth of the seabed is 8 metres. The port has a restaurant, a bar, a laundry, and a refuelling station.

Port of Omiš
Omiš is a small Central Dalmatian town at the mouth of Cetina River. It is surrounded by massive gorges. The depth of the seabed is 4 metres. The Bóra winds, coming from every direction, and the southern winds cause strong waves in the area.
Port of Podstrana
The Marina Lav is part of the Le Meridian Lav hotel complex. It can accommodate 74 boats up to 40 metres in length. The depth of the seabed is 2-2, 8 metres. There are drinking water, electricity and 24-hour security.

Port of Supetar
Supetar’s outer port is reserved for ferries and commercial vessels. In contrast, mostly smaller boats and yachts use the inner basin. Marina Baška Voda
The Marina Baška Voda can accommodate up to 180 boats up to 23 metres in length. 60 berths are preserved for guests only. The maximum depth of the seabed is 4 metres.
