After handover, the sheltered channels around Murter itself make a first day close in while you settle the plan. Zadar Airport (ZAD) is a 60–80-minute road transfer, with Split (SPU) a similar distance. The one call is which day to cross out into the national park: it charges an entry fee and limits anchoring to marked bays, and once past the home channels the islands are open water, so pick a calm day and come back inside before the last one. The park and the nearer Šibenik archipelago give enough short, protected legs for a week’s sailing. Žut, Kornat and the outer islands are more exposed miles again, beyond a single week.
