The weather of Korčula
The climate of the island is very mild, Mediterranean. The average annual temperature is 16.8°C. Summer is very hot, dry and there are a lot of sunny hours. The average air temperature is 26.9°C in July and does not fall below 9.1°C in January. Rain usually falls in autumn and winter, and relatively little. The driest period is typical towards the end of spring. Snowfall is a specifically unusual phenomenon, seen at most at the top of Pupnat, but even there only for a short time. In summer, the refreshing westerly winds of the mistral bring relief. In winter, the southeastern Jugo, the cold northeastern bora, and the strong north wind, tramontana, blow. Marina Vela Luka (Korčula)
The marina on the west side of the Island of Korčula has 45 berths for boats up to 17 metres in length. The depth of the seabed is 3-4 metres. The marina has a refuelling station, directly next to the yacht pier. Vela Luka sailing
ACI Marina Korčula
The harbour of the picturesque town of Korčula has 159 berths for yachts up to 45 metres long. The depth is 5 metres. There is Wi-Fi, laundry, gas station, ship maintenance is also provided. Marina Lumbarda (Korčula)
The harbour is located in Lumbarda Bay, in a wonderful natural environment. It accommodates 115 yachts, up to 25-30 metres in length. The depth is 8 metres. It has water, electricity and a shower; There is also a bar, a restaurant and a supermarket nearby. The harbour is open to sailors all year round.
Marina Zavalatica
The small harbour is located in the southern part of the island of Korčula, about 27 km west of the Old Town of Korčula. If you get hungry, there is a nice restaurant in the bay, right by the sea.
Marina Orebić (Pelješac peninsula)
The harbour on the southern side of the Pelješac peninsula can accommodate 220 yachts, up to 12 metres in length. The depth is 2 metres. Marina Lovište (Pelješac peninsula)
Lovište is located in a beautiful bay at the northwestern end of the Pelješac Peninsula. Its harbour offers 20 berths for yachts up to 20 metres long. The settlement is also a popular stop for sailors due to its rich gastronomic offer. The delicious dishes are based on the excellent Dalmatian fish specialities.
Marina Porto Rosso
Located in the southern part of the island of Lastovo, the harbour provides 30 berths for yachts of less than 60 metres. The depth varies from 1.8 to 10 metres. All berths have water and electricity. There is also Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, and a medical facility.

Our trip starts in the wonderful city of Korčula. After visiting beautiful islands such as Pelješac, Biševo, Vis, and Hvar, we will return here.
Day 1. Korčula (ACI Marina Korčula) – Orebić

The second-largest peninsula in Croatia is the Pelješac peninsula in Dalmatia. Its largest city is the picturesque Orebić, which boasts Mediterranean vegetation and trees. From here, there are several dedicated hiking trails leading to the peaks of Sveti Ilija, with magnificent views of the island of Korčula and the Adriatic Sea. One of the most popular attractions in the city is the Franciscan monastery, built-in the Gothic-Renaissance style, but the Maritime Museum is also worth a visit. The area is famous for excellent wines such as Dingač, Plavac, Pelješac, and Postup.
Day 2. Orebić – Vela Luka

Vela Luka is the most populated town on the island of Korčula. Above the bay is Vela Spila, one of the most famous prehistoric cave dwellings in Europe. Not only from here but also from Forteca on Hum Hill, you can enjoy marvellous views. The latter was a 19th-century Austro-Hungarian fortress. Day 3. Vela Luka – Biševo-island (Porat)

Biševo is mainly famous for its Blue Cave in Baluni Bay. The island is characterized by crystal clear blue water, huge rocks, pine woods, and cedars. Its shores are steep and almost inaccessible everywhere, except on the west side, where Salbunara, as well as Porat, are suitable for anchoring. The tiny island is one of the most unspoiled Mediterranean landscapes, with barely ten people living here. There are great restaurants on the beach, such as Konoba Tomić and Kod Jakše. Spend the night in the idyllic bay.
Day 4. Biševo-island – Vis (Marina Vis)

Vis’s famous landmark is a 16th-century monastery built on the remains of an antique theatre on the Pirovo Peninsula. Day 5. Vis – Stari Grad (Mooring Bouys)

After we return our ship, it is worth exploring Stari Grad if we still have some time. From Glavica hill, there is a wonderful view of the town and the nearby Brač Island. If you are interested in beautiful buildings, the most famous sights of the establishment are Hektorović Castle, Church of Saint Rocco and the Dominican Monastery. Day 6. Stari Grad – Sućuraj

This relatively quiet and very pleasant fishing village is located on the island of Hvar in southern Croatia. It has excellent sandy and pebble beaches. The village’s most famous landmark is the Church of St. George, which was completely rebuilt-in the 19th century – reaching its present form. Another attraction of Sućuraj is the 17th-century Venetian fortress.
Day 7. Sućuraj – Lovište – Korčula (ACI Marina Korčula)

The town is located in a beautiful bay at the northwestern tip of the Pelješac Peninsula. The most famous attraction is the Church of Blessed Virgin Mary, built-in 1924 – according to other sources, even earlier, in 1885. There are olive groves around the town with long-lived olive trees. The town’s summer festival is called „Loviško ljeto”, featuring folk bands and cultural associations. You can choose from many restaurants, cafés and bars when you visit Lovište.
Once we have dropped off our yacht and we still have time, it is worth looking around Korčula. The city is located on the east coast of the island of the same name, right on the peninsula. Due to the atmosphere of its old town, it is also called mini Dubrovnik. The main attraction of Korčula is the Gothic-Renaissance St. Mark’s Cathedral. Also, here you can see the supposed birthplace of the famous Venetian traveller and merchant Marco Polo. Heading East from Lumbarda, we now offer a longer route. We sail to Dubrovnik, perhaps the most beautiful city in Croatia, also known as the gem of the Adriatic. The crystal clear, deep blue sea, beautiful houses, and many historical sites will enchant all visitors. Then we touch Mljet as well as Lastovo, one of the most forested islands in the Adriatic.
