Location of Barcelona
Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia, in Northern Spain. It is located at the Adriatic Sea, north of the Pyrenees and the French border. Barcelona shares borders with the river Besós in the north and Llobregat in the south. Surrounded by the Coastal Range – part of to the Catalan Pyrenees – Collserola from the west and the Garraf Massif from the south. Its highest points are the Tibidabo and the Montjuic. Barcelona is the third-largest port city on the Adriatic Sea.
Can you rent a catamaran in Barcelona- do I need a license? The requirements.
Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters and gulet charters may not require a license. Club Nautic Cambrils (Cambrils)
Thanks to the reforms implemented in recent years, the club has two parts. It can accommodate up to 426 yachts between 8 metres and 25 metres in size. Moreover, eight premises cover various yacht maintenance and repair services. There is a 24-hour crew service. Main sights in Barcelona
If you are a nature enthusiast, you must definitely look for the Parc de la Ciutadella, which is practically the only green area in town. It includes a zoo. Visiting the Barcelona Aquarium is also a great experience, especially for families with small children. Another attraction that you must see is the Font Màgica, which is a collection of unique fountains. They change their colours and patterns to the rhythm of the music. Would you like to see beautiful architecture? La Sagrada Familia, Santa Maria del Mar and the Picasso Museum are all must-see sights. La Rambla is the main pedestrian precinct in the city; there are many cafés, bars and shops there.
Gastronomy of Barcelona
The Catalan gastronomy is based on natural ingredients and authentic local specialities, such as cold cuts, mushrooms, tomato bread and desserts. Other local specialities are the rossejats, the esqueixada and the fideua. As for desserts, it is worth tasting the Crema Catalana or the mel i mató.
The city has a Mediterranean climate. Summers are long and hot. Still, in July and August, the daily maximum temperature is barely higher than 30 °C. Winters are short, and the average temperature in January and February is around 10 °C. There is usually no freeze in Barcelona, and snow is not common either. The driest months are June and July, and the one with the highest amount of precipitation in October.
